In Praise of Folly is dedicated to “pulling down strongholds,  casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (1st Corinthians 10:5,6)

We take up the perspective of Christian Non-resistance and the teachings of the fathers of the early church. Our world view is informed by the Ante-Nicean fathers on views of war, peace, theology etc. It is our intention that this website will serve as a platform by which we will discuss, research, and dialogue on matters of theology, philosophy, economics, history, and politics, relentlessly criticizing and disproving the lies and falsehoods of mainstream “knowledge” (falsely so-called). By these means we will never cease to demonstrate the infallible scriptures, the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We obtain our website’s name from Disedore Erasmus’ “The Praise of Folly,” a satirical work which roundly condemns the decadence of his contemporary Catholic civilization. We also echo the Christian tradition of the holy fool as expounded by the Apostle Paul in 1st Corinthians 1:18-21, 3:19, 4:10. We are fools for Christ, and the controversy of Christ’s message will not deter us from propagating its truth, “for we have been made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men.”

For those seeking to put on full display their personal opinions and ideas, In Praise of Folly is not that place. Our website is dedicated to extensive research and critique of various topics affecting the ministry and teachings of Christ. As such, the bully-pulpit and soapbox of forums and comments have been removed so as to deprive the lumpen-proletariat of even more opportunities to spread their ignorance and hatred. For those who wish to respond and interact with the material of our site, we welcome well-written and well-researched responses to our work, so as to develop a greater dialogue with those who seek to be more than mere armchair philosophers and trolls.

  1. hello, i heard your interview with nick hazelton. he mentioned me in the conversation. i am the founder of a free market anarchist philosophy called ego-utilitarianism. would like to discuss some of the same topics you discussed with nick and present what i believe is the true free market ethic that solves property issues as well as morality in general. also would like to talk to you about religion which ego-utilitarianism rejects.
